Methodology
The average price calculation uses the standard weighted average formula:
Average Price = Total Investment / Total Shares
Where Total Investment equals the sum of (Shares × Price) for each valid purchase. Only rows with both shares and price greater than zero are included in the calculation.
Assumptions & Limitations
- Excludes trading fees, commissions, and taxes
- Does not account for dividends received or stock splits
- All purchases assumed to be for the same stock/security
- Break-even price equals average price (when excluding fees)
