Methodology
The calculator uses the standard Ethereum gas fee formula:
- Gas Fee (ETH) = Gas Units x Gas Price (Gwei) / 10^9
- Gas Fee (USD) = Gas Fee (ETH) x ETH Price
Gas unit estimates are based on typical transaction complexity. Actual consumption may vary by 10-20% depending on contract implementation and network state.
Assumptions & Limitations
- Gas estimates are fixed approximations for common transaction types
- Gas price represents the combined base fee + priority fee (EIP-1559)
- 1 Gwei = 10^-9 ETH
