Star Gas Partners, L.P. (Star Gas Partners) is a home heating oil and propane distributor and services provider that principally provides services to residential and commercial customers to heat their homes and buildings. As of September 30, 2011, Star Gas Partners sold home heating oil and propane to approximately 407,000 full service residential and commercial customers. It also sells home heating oil, gasoline and diesel fuel to approximately 39,000 customers on a delivery only basis. The Company installs, maintains, and repairs heating and air conditioning equipment for the customers and provide ancillary home services, including home security and plumbing, to approximately 11,500 customers. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2011 (fiscal 2011), the Company completed four acquisitions and added approximately 8,800 home heating oil and propane.
